Move along it until you reach the tiny astronaut on it, then purposefully die while standing on it to respawn back by the checkpoint and free the Special Bot. This Special Bot is on the third section of the stage, Deep Dataspace. When arriving at the location, play as normal until just before the fourth checkpoint where you can yank a gun out of the ground in a small elevated platform to the left. Astro Bot is a 2024 platform game developed by Team Asobi and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 5 to coincide with PlayStation’s 30th anniversary. Following Astro’s Playroom (2020), it is the fifth overall installment in the Astro Bot series and marks Team Asobi’s first game developed since its separation from Japan Studio. As someone that has owned and loved every single PlayStation console from the PS1 to the PS Vita and PS4, it was an absolute treat to play Astro’s Playroom.
For the first part of our Astro’s Playroom guide, we’re going to provide a full walkthrough for each stage, which will help you easily 100% each location. After beating 88vv of the T-Rex the credits will start to roll, where you can collect some coins. To find them, you need to locate hidden disco balls in the regular levels.

There is no way to turn the touchpad controls off, nor is there an alternate control method. I handed the controller to my sister asking her to do the area for me, with the expectation this would be a one-off. Past games are also celebrated in fine style thanks to the little skits that are always going on in the background, often involving other bots playing the role of famous game characters. You also ping Astro into action with a flick of the touchpad and zip up his various special suits by running your finger upwards. Astro’s Playroom is not that game, as it’s quite short and still at least 50% tech demo, but since so few will ever get to play Rescue Mission it’s an important step towards that goal. It’s also free with every new PlayStation 5, so it’s the one game that you can almost guarantee everyone will play – and it gives a very good first impression.
Miscellaneous Trophies in Astro Playroom reward unique actions and challenges‚ such as specific jumps or interactions. These fun‚ creative achievements add variety to your trophy hunt experience. Earning the Platinum Trophy in Astro Playroom requires unlocking all 46 trophies. With no missable achievements‚ it’s achievable in 5-7 hours‚ making it a fun and accessible platinum.

Its main function is to demonstrate the possibilities of the DualSense. It’s the kind of charming 3D adventure rarely seen outside of Nintendo, one dripping with inventive ideas and heartwarming details. And it might just be the ideal game to sell you on a PlayStation 5. It’s worth noting however that this isn’t the same model from the demo.
You can explore all these items in the PlayStation Lago, a hub area of everything you collect. It’s a lot of fun to scale up these objects, and each one has a cool animation. Granted, it’s only a startup noise or something getting popped open. You can tell how much love Team Asobi put into this celebration of PlayStation. You become entranced with all the functions, but it doesn’t stop there. So many little details throughout Astro’s Playroom make the DualSense exciting.
This references SCE London Studio’s PlayStation Home, a Second Life-style experience launched in 2008 and closed in 2015. The game let you explore themed spaces and allow you to purchase items to display in your virtual home. In the final shaded section of the level with the long wooden bridge, look down on the left-hand wall to see a Bot on a bike escaping a swarm of Bots. The Bots chasing the bike refer to the huge swarms of zombies featured in the game.
Look over the edge of the island to see a blue aura in the clouds. The robots from the VR classic find new footing on the PS5 in Astro’s Playroom from the PS5 reveal event. When you return to the main hub area of Astro’s Playroom, the gigantic PS5 Pro will be displayed next to the base PS5, with a little Astro Bot perched on top. Simply interact with each one, help the bots lift up the rock, and they will be added to your collection. If you get it wrong, then you’ll need to scale the hill again, grab another bunch of bananas, and retry the dance minigame. If you’re successful, you’ll unlock the bot and get the “No Escape!
